July 24 & 25 – “VIETNAM Revisited” – Visit this Living History bivouac (encampment) on the grounds of the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg, Centre County with re-enactors portraying the combat soldier of the Vietnam era in-country in Southeast Asia. Daily programs include accompanying squads on Short Range Recon Patrols and a tactical patrol ambush demonstration at 1300 and 1500. Bivouac opens 1000 to 1700 on Saturday and 1000 to 1600 on Sunday. It is the turn of the century in New York City and the widow Dolly Levi is busy match-making and making mischief. As the story opens Dolly takes a trip to rural Yonkers to finalize a match between a prominent, wealthy bachelor named Horace Vandergelder and the widowed hat shop owner Irene Malloy from New York City. Somehow before the day is done Horace, Dolly, Horace’s niece Ermengarde and Horace Vandergelder’s two naïve clerks end up romping through New York City in a web of complicated romantic entanglements that will tickle your funny bone and make your head spin. Not to worry however, by the end of the story, each character ends up with their ideal partner- but not without a great deal of misadventures set in motion by Dolly Levi herself.

Milton Area Community Theatre (MACT) presents Stephen Sondheim's "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum" at the Milton High School Performing Arts Center on July 23, 24 and 25. "Something familiar, something peculiar... a comedy tonight!" Featuring a cast of 22 actors from across the Susquehanna Valley ranging in age from 15 to 57, FORUM has been hailed as "one of the funniest musicals ever written." In this irreverent farce, a Roman slave schemes to help his young master woo the girl next door. But there are complications: a house of ill repute, a Roman soldier who's been promised the girl as his bride, the boy's parents, a confused neighbor... leading to mistaken identities, chases, magic potions, cross-dressing, a fake funeral--and of course, singing and dancing!
